It was nice to see a doctor who challenged the previous doctors diagnosis'. I've had an on-going eye issue that hasn't been properly diagnosed and I kept getting the same responses everytime I went to the hospital. Mr Hu listened to my symptoms and did a thorough examination and came to his own conclusions. I am hopeful this new diagnosis is the correct one but only time will tell with my new treatments. Mr Hu was very reassuring and I felt at ease in his care. He was very easy to talk to and explained everything has he went. He also said I can get in touch to monitor how well the treatment is going so we know if this is the right medication/drops for me. Probably one of the most helpful appointments I've had for a long while.

Dr Hu was very informative, caring and listerned to the problems i was having. His paitent /doctor relastionship was exellent and made me feel at ease. He is a good asset for St Pails Eye Hospital.

Victor Hu spoke to me prior to my second cataract operation. He listened to my concerns and showed empathy and understanding to my feelings. He completed the operation himself and talked me through each stage. On my follow up post operation appointment the nurse called him into the room and he checked out my eye which strengthened my confidence going forward. A very caring doctor with a first class patient / doctor approach. An asset to Liverpool eye dept.

Dr.Victor Hu had a friendly reassuring manner. He listened to my problem and concerns. He then examined my eye and scan results and discussed them with me.He also then confirmed his thoughts with Mr. Ahmed and involved him. I left feeling happy that my sight will be ok.The whole department had a friendly, professional approach.Thanks Mrs.J.Fletcher

Consultant ophthalmologist at Mid Cheshire NHS Hospitals with a specialist interest in Cornea, including corneal transplant surgery, and also Glaucoma. He is passionate about providing excellent patient care and experience. He previously completed a PhD on trachoma with the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and currently works with the LSHTM leading research in low-income countries.
